The following will be performing during the weekend:
 

Bands

 

The Dollarfield Ceilidh Band have been together for more than ten years and during that time have played the length and breadth of Scotland at Country Dances, Ceilidhs, Concerts and Weddings. They are led by two fiddlers – Fiona and Bill Cook, backed up by Robert Anderson on double bass, Patrick Gilmarton on drums and Jim Scott on keyboards.

 

Lyra Celtica Lyra Celtica have earned a reputation for fantastic live performances throughout the UK. Their success has taken them as far afield as the USA and Russia. Lynn Tocker on accordion (first winner of the BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year Award), was one of the original members of the Kathryn Tickell Band. Widely experienced Frank McGuire performs percussion, whistles and evocative vocals, and Mark Canning adds his unique rhythmical style of guitar playing.

 

Fox Family Norwegian fiddle and song duo from Trondheim. Jenny Elisabeth Gustafsson on fiddle and zither and Ingrid Storlimo on vocal, fiddle and zither bring traditional Scandanavian music and song, and a fascination with Norse/Scots musical links.

 

Folkens Eleven enthusiastic young fiddlers from Trondheim bring traditional Scandanavian music and a fascination for Scottish music.

 

Crooked Jack Denis Alexander’s comic genius and Dave Vernon’s instrumental skills on pipes and accordian have taken Crooked Jack all over the world from their home town of Kirkcaldy. 

 

Ken Campbell’s Ideal Band The re-formed Ideal Band bringing together three of Scotland's most respected and experienced musicians, Ken Campbell on Vocals/Guitar/Spanish Lute, Seylan Baxter on Cello/Electric Cello/Vocals, and Gavin Paterson on Keyboard/Guitar/Vocals.

 

Linties with Stuart Miller  Iyaah Warren, Morag Dempsey, Helen McBrien sing beautiful and often amusing harmonies with accompaniment and songs from Stuart.

 

Stonedyke Great songs - many about Fife - with a Scottish edge from Leven lads Nathan Ferguson, Ewan Masson and friends.

 

Cockalorum three guys from East Kilbride playing a mix of Scottish and Irish traditional songs and tunes.

 

Just Voices Seven women singing accapella harmonies from round the world.

Adam MacNaughton An irrepressible performer and creator of songs humorous and otherwise.

 

Andy Shanks Singer and songwriter from Angus whose songs about Fife are performed all over the world.

 

Alex Black has been performing regularly at the Dunfermline Folk Club where his exceptional moothie (mouth organ) talents are often much admired.

 

Alex Mackenzie Multi instrumentalist and singer from Cairneyhill.

 

Davy Lockhart Highly experienced fiddler from Kelty.

 

George Haig Originally from Falkirk and now resident in Dunfermline, George was the winner of the world championships for autoharp in 2005.

 

Gifford Lind Singer and songwriter from Dunfermline.

James Grant Silver discs and hit singles with Love and Money. Created many songs for Karen Matheson, and brings a thoroughly Celtic soul to his songwriting and performing.

 

Johnie Kemp guitarist from Anstruther. He’s guid.

 

Kellie Buchanan Young vivacious Fife singer.

 

Lindsay Porteous Multi talented instrumentalist and ethnomusicologist from Culross.

 

Nicola Auchnie Young fiddler from Turriff. Winner of 2008 Oban Masters title – a champion of Scottish champions.

 

Peter Cameron Gifted young Scottish fiddler.

 

Ron Fleming from Cardenden. Songs, poems and stories about Fife from a born and bred Fifer including the well known The Heights o Benarty, The Razzle Dazzle Tassel Dance and What Does a Laddie Fae Keltie Do In A Toon like St Tropez. 

 

Roy Crowshaw Singer and guitarist Roy performs a mix of traditional, contemporary and humorous.

 

Scott Gardiner is a young singer of traditional songs from Forfar.

 

Steve Clark Singer songwriter from Glasgow with an fine collection of great songs to sing.

 

Sylvia Troon Enormously talented story teller from North East Fife. Scary spooky stories galore.
