Dunfermline Folk Club offers a variety of music styles and performers not just from Scotland, but the UK and overseas. It also provides a regular session spot for local performers.

A night of fun, tears and laughter guaranteed. | Entrance Fee £5.00 | | 23rd |  | The Outside Track A highly rated band of young traditional musicians from Ireland, Scotland, England and Canada, who met at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in Limerick, with the recent addition of Lauren MacColl, BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Musician of the year Award in 2005 from Ross shire on fiddle.. August | 6th |  | Bob Cheevers is an Emmy winning songwriter from Memphis. He's a Kerrville and Napa Valley Festival winner with six commercial CDs, including two top 20 Americana chart CDs. He performed with Johnny Cash on what would become Cash's final tour. Tales of romance, a look at the world through Bob’s eyes and character studies of people who were caught up in the Civil War... rootsy, blues flavoured tales of the Mississippi Delta delivered in a conversational language of the heart. See www.bobcheevers.com | Entrance Fee £5.00 | | 13th |  | Carlos Arredondo is a self-taught musician, singer and songwriter who plays Spanish guitar, Bolivian charango, Venezuelan Cuatro, Colombian Triple and a bit of Bolivian Quena. He always sings in Spanish, in a style strongly influenced by the great Chilean folklorists, Violeta Parra, Victor Jara and by the "New Song" movement of the Americas of the 60s and 70s. He will bring insights into important events in recent Chilean history: The Presidency of Salvador Allende (1970-1973) and the Pinochet dictatorship (1973-1990). He has performed all over Scotland, in Britain and abroad - in Chile, Peru, Canada, Italy and Sweden, and frequently contributed to live shows on BBC radio. Lillias is part of the acclaimed traditional music group CrossCurrent and Rachel was a finalist in the 2005 BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year. Influenced by songwriters like Van Morrison, Janis Ian, James Taylor and Joni Mitchell, Michelle began playing professionally in Australia when she was fifteen. An accomplished singer/songwriter, she was recognised very quickly as a talented artist. She can lift an audience to new heights with her heartfelt music. She has worked with a number of established performers including Janis Ian and Kristina Olsen, receiving high praise from both.
